Donnie, I think the world of you, and man I used to love Dale Murphy, but Ruth is the greatest player ever ( arguably) there's no way Murphy belongs on these teams...lol
A Rod, he's a hell of a hitter, but not the player Ripken was, we can argue all day but if Ripken played with the Yankees, he'd have 6 or 7 rings, same as if Nolan Ryan had pitched for good teams he'd won 400 games.
Jeter, is a class act, I think a lot of him, and he's a damn Yankee, crazy...lol

A Rod is great at everything. AND, he only juiced a lil bit lol. I wish Jeter and A Rod would both bolt for the Cubbies and break the curse!
I was never big on Ripken. Yeah, I know he was great, but I got a few guys in front of him.

No No I put Ruth the Dale Murphy was a joke cause he was one of my favorites of all time.
Jeter is just the ultimate clutch winner. With a stacked team like that, put him in my clubhouse and lineup.
I came DAMN close to putting Rickey Henderson in LF
my lineup is just unbeatable
Leadoff Jeter 2. Rose 3. Gehrig 4.Ruth 5.Bonds 6.Mayes 7.Schmidt 8.Maurer
Damn that lineup!

In light of Clemens' recent developments I move him down the list a little bit. He used to be on the top of my list, but now I say Maddux, Ryan, Cy Young Sandy Kofax and then Clemens.
Ted Williams undeniable as one of the, if not the, best hitters ever. I loved Tony Gwinn. Also one of the greatest hitters ever.

I dont think u can move Clemens down. I mean it wasn't against baseball rules.
My top 5 and i am sticking with more modern day guys.
1.Sandy Koufax 2. Bob Gibson 3.Roger Clemens 4.Pedro Martinez 5. Walter Johnson
I love Maddux but he was terrible in the post season

I also am a Bob Gibson fan, and Pedro but I don't think he excelled enough for a long enough period of time...to be one of the greats, you know Babe Ruth was a 20 game winner three times before he hit 714 homeruns...lol

Pedro in the steroid era did some unprecedented things.
Cy Young did win 511 games.. but just wonder how he'd do in today's game?

Okay, Pedro was amazing, I agree and I was a big fan of Pedro, I'm not comfortable putting him in my top 10...but he is, or was rather , great...
