f. Dan Issel-Kentucky f- c- Shaq O'Neil- LSU g- Chris Jackson- LSU g- Pete Marivich- LSU
I haven't made my mind up on the other forward yet, and no, I am not an LSU fan, those three were amazing college payers, with Pistol Pete possibly being the best college player ever.
I'm toying with Barkley as my other forward, but there have been so many great SEC basketball players. Thoughts...?

F - Dan Issel - Kentucky F - Jamal Mashburn - Kentucky C - DeMarcus Cousins - Kentucky G - Pete Maravich - LSU G - John Wall - Kentucky
It was tough for me on the Shaq/Cousins at Center, but since Clark took Shaq I can take Cousins and we can argue lol.
There are so many great COLLEGE players that came through the SEC. Barkley, Kenney Walker, Sam Bowie, Shaq, some of the great Arkansas players like Mayberry, Day, Moncrief and Corliss Williamson. How about UT's Dale Ellis, Alan Houston and Bernard King? Man, there has been so many great players in the SEC and even at UK. This should be a great discussion thread!

All time? elite 8? Wall can't shoot, cant defend, turnover machine. I put Rondo over Wall.

Wall can't shoot and can't defend? He turned the ball over, but he was making plays and he is a winner. You say Elite 8? like it is a bad thing bro. Did Shaq or Pistol Pete ever make as far in the NCAA? How about Bernard King? He ever go past the Elite 8? No sir. Cousins and Wall were 18 years old. If either of them played one more year it is untelling what could have been done. How about winning percentage? Cousins and Wall were 35-3 in their careers. Does Shaq, Pistol Pete or King have any where near that winning percentage? Rondo's COLLEGE numbers were no where near what Wall produced. Not even close. And yes, I am very partial and/or biased towards the UK players

K maybe i took NBA careers into account.
Maravich's scoring though is unparalleled and he had no 3pt line!
Elite 8 when u have 5 first round draft picks IS a bad thing.
For College, Id take Tony Delk over John Wall any day of the week.

I agree with Maravich and I have him in my top 5.
The NBA drafts on potential. I have heard that for years now. The NCAA tourney isn't won with potential. UK losing was also a fluke. They had that one game when they couldn't hit and their opponent hit everything uncharacteristically.
I love Delk as well, but John Wall is the best bro. He can pass, score, shoot, defend and was fast as lightning.

Rondo? Hey Rondo is a Celtic now, and hence I'm really partial to him, but Wall has more talent, as to whether he will be a more effective NBA player, who knows, as a college player wall only played one season but he was better...

I love Rondo. He may be my favorite player in the NBA right now. But how can you say Wall can't shoot and then through Rondo on the mix? I think Wall is going to have a great impact on his team next year. Time will tell...

Rondo cant shoot either but he is a better defender *1st team all nba* 2nd most votes, great rebounder and averaged a damn triple double last year in a playoff series.
Rondo struggled cause of Tubby's coaching style. If he played for Cal and this system, he would've probably came close to averaging a triple double at UK.
I would fathom 14 8 8 probably

I agree Rondo would have put up some great numbers under Cal, but the rebounds I don't think so. There aren't that many rebounds to go around when you have Patterson and Cousins combining for over 20 a game.
