This possibly could be overreacting on my part, but Miami are 4-2. This 3 headed monster,so far, doesn't seem to quite fit in my opinion. James and Wade dominate the ball, and Bosh goes LONG stretches without even touching it.
The problem with this is, Bosh isn't a role player. So when he isn't involved, he really doesn't do much to contribute on the floor. Last night, in a loss to New Orleans, he had 1 rebound through 3 quarters. He isn't a very good defensive player and he is way too good to be a pick setter.
The problem with "Stacked" teams is, there just aren't enough balls to go around. Great players NEED the ball and when they don't get it, most get out of rhythm and can't just turn it on when they do get it.
I thought Miami made a mistake bringing Bosh to Miami. With their Salary Cap, I thought signing Lebron and Pairing him with Wade was genius, but with the money they paid Bosh, they could've brought in 2 or 3 big time role players. The guys who do the dirty work: Rebound, play defense, hustle, dive on loose balls, block shots, bring energy etc.
Miami look better when they have Udonis Haslem on the floor with Lebron and Wade, instead of Bosh. So my idea is to simply do what the Boston Celtics did back in the early to mid 80's with Kevin Mchale and use Bosh as the 6th man.
What this does is, it adds a solid defender, role player, rebounder to the starting lineup who doesn't need touches in Udonis Haslem, and it gives Miami a major weapon off the bench with Chris Bosh. Bosh coming in against other teams' second units would be a matchup nightmare for opposing coaches. Bosh could still get court time with Wade and Lebron in the final 4 or 5 minutes of the 2nd and 4th quarters, but bringing him off the bench gives them a potent superstar threat, and opens up the court more for Wade and Lebron to do their thing.
Miami are in a must win this season situation. People can say it will take 2 years or so, but Lebron deserted Cleveland to win now. If he doesn't, his legacy is tainted forever and he will be labeled as the ultimate player who couldn't win regardless of how much he tried to shortcut and stack a team.
