Lakers/Celtics is a great rivalry but was pretty non existant in the 90's and early 2000s, so I think when they meet in the finals it is, but they've met 5 times in 30 years...
so ill go Yankees and Redsox just cause they are constantly fighting in the same division and competing pretty much every year against one another.

Yeah, but the Lakers and Celtics have combined for over half of the NBA titles. The fans of these teams/cities literally hate the other. What other team do you know that the fans chant for the team that is currently beating them to beat someone else later in the playoffs? "Beat L.A. Beat L.A." It is hard to argue against Yankees / Redsox, but that is pretty much one-sided. The Lakers / Celtics trade punches.

WOW that is a great argument. Didn't really think about it that way. Guess for it to be a rivalry a team has to be closer than what? 27-2 or something? LOL!

Lot's of great rivalries on there...The entire NFC East ( old division) was a hell of a rilvalry...
